Paving & Grading Crew Laborers & Foremen, Equipment Operators

Overview

We are a paving and construction company looking for laborers and foremen to join our crews. We have been in business for over 30 years and focus mainly in private parking lots and office parks. We require at least 3 years of experience on a paving or grading and digging crew.

Summary

Assist in the tasks associated with the construction of asphalt pavement on highways, streets, and parking lots.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist minor equipment maintenance and cleaning of the construction equipment.

  • Must have the ability to operate asphalt paving equipment and be able to labor for paving crew.

  • Keep working areas clean.

  • Work closely with the skilled workers.

  • Engage in all forms of hard labor that is necessary for the completion of the construction project.

  • Competency to perform the job successfully.

  • Comply with all safety rules and regulations.

Overview

We are a paving and construction company looking for an experienced Sealcoat and Crackfill crew foreman to join our crew. We have been in business for over 30 years and focus mainly in private parking lots and office parks. We require at least 3 years of experience on a sealcoating and crack filling crew.

Oversee and manage sealcoat and crackfill crew.

Overview

We are looking for experienced Class A & B drivers to operate our low bed trailers, tri axle dump, and trailer dumps. Applicants should have experience driving these types of trucks. Persons applying for low bed must have experience operating heavy machinery, as it is required to load equipment onto the low bed.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Determine condition of vehicle by inspecting vehicle before and after use, logging inspection, and reporting requirements.

  • Ensure correct loading of vehicle by loading product or material and directing material handlers.

  • Deliver product or material to destination by identifying destination, selecting route, and driving the vehicle.

  • Maintain safe vehicle conditions and protect load by complying with organization policies and procedures, as well as highway rules and regulations.

  • Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.

  • Maintain records by completing driver log.

  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Overview

Asphalt Services is looking for a top-notch heavy duty equipment mechanic. This is a full-time position with hours ranging from 40 to 50 per week. The heavy equipment mechanic will be responsible for vehicle inspections, preventative maintenance, correcting vehicle deficiencies, road service calls, and thorough record keeping.

Qualifications

  • Experience with heavy duty trucks and equipment.

  • Diagnose and repair utilizing current technology.

  • Familiar with Cat/Cummings and other diesel engines.

  • Clean driving record.

  • Ability to work well with existing team.

  • Ability to manage time effectively.

Experience

Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic: 5+ years preferred.

Overview

Established paving company seeking experienced milling and/or paving foreman. The Foreman will provide overall on-site leadership and oversee the milling operations, safety, and quality assurance.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage milling crew, including safety monitoring.

  • Oversee layout and placement.

  • Monitor quality control.

  • Observe job sites to ascertain progress of job and identify if workers and/or equipment are being appropriately utilized.

  • Coordinate material deliveries with suppliers and hauling vendors.

  • Verify measurements, slope, and thickness for compliance with contracts, utilizing electronic grade and slope controls.

  • Communicate with persons outside of the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public, and other external sources in an appropriate and professional manner.

  • Read and relay job-related information from work orders, plans, or contracts to asphalt crew.

  • Operate the milling equipment to facilitate alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials.

  • Prepare daily time cards and field diaries.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction of asphalt pavements.

  • Technical skills in asphalt paving and milling operations.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Strong work ethic and willingness to work as a team to efficiently complete jobs to the highest customer satisfaction.

  • Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.

  • Effective leadership skills.

  • Valid driver’s license issued within the United States, clear of multiple and/or major violations.

  • Must be willing to travel to job sites outside of the state.

  • Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, or nights.
